Ladies and gentlemen, I have great news about this issue. Finally after almost 1 month, I was able to take action with the glitched duplicate evolution card. The images attached below showcase the ability to quick sell the card, and the other image is my ability to open a pack.
Below are some suggestions regarding this issue:
1- If your glitched card evolution has expired, I highly recommend to quick sell the card as there is a possibility that the glitch can reoccur if the glitched card is used in another evolution.
2- When quick sold, the glitched card would not appear in the quick sell recovery. (Based on my experience.
For future experience, I suggest the following:
1- If you want to get rid of an old evolution of a card to evolve a new evolution of the same card, you should consider quick selling or putting the old card in an sbc before starting an evolution.
2- If you recovered the old card while having started a new evolution of the same card, AVOID swapping the old card to Be thrown in an sbc, as this will cause the new in-progress card to be GLITCHED.
I hope the above information helps current and future players who faced this unfortunate issue. And if you have additional information or suggestions, kindly add them via quick reply, reply, or a new message.
Guys finally I’m free!!! The EVO has expired so I was able to quick sell it. Once you do it, you can acces to the store again. 4 future EVOs if you want to EVO a player that you already have I suggest u to quick sell the old one before you start the new EVO, and do not make my mistake. LEAVE THE OLD EVO THERE!!! Don’t recover it to put it on a SBC!!!

Mine is still stuck there!!! He was never in an active Evo or anything, so I don’t have a clue what’s going on 😭😭

In that case I don’t know man …. EA has to fix this, it is happening since September

Finally I’m free!!! The EVO has expired so I was able to quick sell it. Once you do it, you can acces to the store again. I am very happy. I hope your problems will be solved. Thank u for all replies and answers.

May I ask how exactly did this work for you? I mean obviously have to wait until the glitched evo expires. then what? you just enter the game and quick sell the card? have you accessed the game through you console/PC or the web/companion app?
i just want to make sure i wont make any mistake and be stuck forever, because if you count on EA to fix a bug it might take forever lol.

Yes, access ultimate team through the companion or web app and quick sell the card once the evolution expires. I highly prefer not to store the card in the club to be used in another evolution as I don’t know what will happen as a consequence of that decision.

Thanks in advance!I’m my case I had an error appearing in my PS5 when I try to go to the store even when the EVO was expired, so I couldn’t see the EVO player stuck and couldn’t enter in the store in game, but in the companion App I had the possibility to she the store and see my camavinga. After the EVO ends I could quick see it on the app. i hope this helps you

I just got this issue, and it absolutely ruins the game for me. Hundreds of big packs saved which can't be opened, and even worse, now i lost my favorite player first owner Evo because i had an Evo of him from before.. Had 888 games with that player, finally got him first owner and did new Evo. Now he is stuck as duplicate even if i don't have the other Evo anymore. Unless they fix this issue soon my EAFC days are done.

I have the exact same issue as you now with a Peps Legacy Bompastor.
I have to either lose an Evo I've payed for to open packs or just not open packs at all till a fix, what a joke.....

I have a Darwin Nunez I tried to evo, sent the 86 in a SBC and the EVO i used doesn't expire for 21 days... I likely won't be able to open packs for team of the year since it expires after. EA support has not been able to help the 4 times ive reached out to someone and I'm really disappointed I won't be able to open the hundreds of packs i had ALREADY saved...

tell me about it, I have 200 packs saved, got about 30k points on the account and I can't even use them for the best time of the year for playing this game. Either something needs to be done beforehand or I want a refund. I hope everyone has gone to the contact about this, maybe if there is a great number of people who complain this might potentially get fixed but its EA they would not bother about getting this sorted anytime soon.

They don’t care evidently, this has been going on since September and they don’t seem to be interested in issuing refunds either…

Has anyone tested if it could work to create a new duplicate of the Evo? I guess the issue is that you want to switch your unassigned Evo with a duplicate evo in your club, but no duplicate is found. I am unable to test this since none of the current evo's fit for my duplicate player. But i am interested if this could work. So if anyone out there has a possible evo that could fit with the base version of their unassigned Evo player; try to buy the base player and assign him for the Evo. Perhaps you could then switch this new version of the Evo player with the unassigned one in the companion app? And then quicksell the one you don't need to keep. Not sure if you would need to complete the new Evo before doing the quick sell or not...

No you can’t do it, I have Lisandro martinez for Patrick who and tested to see if I could do that but it says you already have an evolution version of this player

Guys I just had a chat about the evo being stuck in the unassigned pile, and ea said it will take 4 to 6 hours to fix as they are currently working on it, I have put a screenshot below!
