This is great info guys.
Data Subject Access Request
During a call with EA Help, the advisor mentioned a DSAR (Data Subject Access Request). I didn't think much of it at the time, but afterwards I looked it up and learned more it. In short, EA has to comply with GDPR, regulations surrounding user data protection and privacy. You have a right to data EA keeps on you and transaction logs may fit in this category. You can find general information about your right to access
To make a DSAR, open a new EA Help case and talk to an advisor via live chat or phone. I did it through phone and stated that I'd like to make a Data Subject Access Request (use these words exactly), specifically requesting data surrounding the transactions that resulted in my ban. I wanted the data to make a stronger appeal for my case and also was hoping to learn more about what transaction triggered the ban, as at the time I wasn't sure which one was deemed suspicious. The advisor will ask for your contact information and they should forward the data request on.
When you make a data request, you should be specific about what data you want. A broad general request for data may have less chance of being fulfilled. In my case, I wanted to know the cards, the times, and the prices of my transactions. I was planning on using this to build a case why my transactions were fair market value and not a sign of coin distribution.
I was e-mailed by a member of the Customer Relations team the next day, who said that they'll be taking care of my data request. The rep mentioned that they would contact me if any new information about my sanction is found during the course of data collection. I can't say for sure, but the wording made it sound like it's possible that there are people involved in the data collection process who are also able to make a call on overturning the market ban.
I had some good back-and-forth with the EA rep, as I reiterated that my market actions were legitimate and passed on some feedback about the ban/appeal process. EA is allowed up to a month to respond to data requests though, so don't expect the request to be fulfilled quickly.
