FUT friendlies not working to play friends

does anyone know why when I try to play a fut friendly match against any of my friends it says that I need to have friends added before I can play? I have my friends added on PS and EA and crossplay ...

SOLUTION!!
Lads I've figured it out.
I bought the Xbox series S console and EA FC 24 bundle (download code). Turns out when I used the download code it downloaded the xbox one version of the game (not the enhanced for series X|S version).
Xbox one consoles and xbox one versions of the game cannot play cross play with xbox series s consoles and enhanced X|S versions of the game. I went into the xbox store and searched for EA FC 24, clicked on the enhanced X|S version and it allowed me to download for free (kind of appeared like an add-on when going through the installation process but is entirely separate game once downloaded).
You CAN delete the xbox one version and keep the series X|S version once downloaded.
I did lose some things on the game: my clubs pro (not a big loss as I was unable to play Clubs anyway) and my manager career (was bottom of the table anyway).
Ultimate team remained in tact.
I hope this fixes for everyone as clubs, friendlies, etc. all work for me now.
