Turned on the game this morning, 11:40 AM UK time….. tried one game of rivals and this game is completely unplayable. Literally half a second delay before my shots, my passing doesn’t go to any of my players or where I want for that matter. The gameplay is so so heavy and slow while my opponent is doing ballerina turns as he can visibly see I’m struggling. Does anybody have a fix for this because the games totally unplayable for me. Xbox series X Looking through the forum this seems to be a massive problem for so many people… has ANYBODY found a solution???

I think it certainly has to be either a form of lag compensation or the routing to the ea server. i suspect it is the first. I get 98/100 on the connection test, have stable fiber internet. The only time i have had good gameplay was when the packet loss symbol kept flashing up. I just accept that i will be at a disadvantage when i play champions and realistically in terms of rewards the difference between winning every game and losing half of them isn't that great. I would love to play on a level playing field but that is a dream that sadly will never come true. The issue EA have is that if they admit to lag compensation, someone would work it out and everyone would be doing the whatever it is to their connection to get an advantage so they can't. The only fair way is to punish poor connections but long term this would destroy EA's revenue so that keep it as it is and just deny poor gameplay exists

"Means I can't play online either because it would be same as my opponents dont have delay".Also xbox series x wired an 1gb fibre.@EA_Aljo Was this problem ever fixed on NHL I know they've been dealing with it too. And almost everyone had full fibre connections.

@KingSimeon89 I don’t know if there is and if there ever be any solution, we don’t know if EA sees it as a problem. There are so many topics on this subject and nothing ever changes.

@SirCarbonara In 3-4 years no official from EA have ever mention it so my guess its a no no..Part of the problem is the servers for sure, and the rest of it i dont know. maybe bad coding, animations, scripting, or what it is.Only thing i know is that i dont know what day im gonna have when i fire up the game and its pretty frustrating

@RadioShaqs we meet again lol… I’ve tried all of the above before, I ran a connection report & uploaded my details and because my connection was flawless nobody from EA responded (granted this was a different fifa, maybe 22) but that proved it wasn’t my connection… I even spoke to virgin, they said it wasn’t on their end, they literally came out to my house and checked everything over and confirmed there is no issues at all. This proved it’s certainly not my connection my ISP my Xbox it has to be the EA servers or scripting. I’ve seen a lot of people mention other online players having worse connection so my good connection takes a hit to compensate for theirs. Either way this game is literally unplayable at times, EA need to listen to their customers and fix this massive issue, i don’t have these issues with ANY other game other than fifa. This has always been the case sadly

I’ve seen a few people fix it. The best thing to do is run the connection test with match history on here to see if you have any issues. Then run the game with the input overlay on. If you have delay your controllers will be out of sync. If it’s a server issue and enough report it ea will look into it like sa.

I’ve seen others on here use the tests to show their isp and their isp fixed their issues. They did a pretty good guide on the process and how to fix it.

you can literally play COD online off a mobile phones hot spot but for Fifa, 500mbps speeds through Ethernet cable isn’t sufficient is that what you’re telling me lol??? make it make sense

Ea made a post explaining they can’t respond to every post. It was when they broke down no ways videos and explained what was going on and the process. They probably make a post a day about it. But yeah when enough reported it like sa they looked into it.

Also cod just did a really good basically pitch notes like how fifa does. They explained how ping and matchmaking works and addressed all the concerns that their community had about connection issues. It was basically the same thing ea has been saying.

But yeah if you think it’s a server issue hopefully enough report it as ea has said multiple times they will look into it like they did for sa.

@RadioShaqs Again, this isn’t personal so please don’t take it that way but as long as people keep pumping coins and cash into them store packs, EA won’t do a damn thing about these gameplay issues. This has been going on for as far back as I can remember with this fifa franchise… I thought with the split from fifa, working independently things would be different. If anything, it’s even worse than ever. Such a shame because when the game actually works, it’s very enjoyable. I’m constantly losing to guys I would smash to bits in remotely decent gameplay ffs

Well like I said they addressed sa and fixed it for them. Also others have fixed it themselves so it’s possible to fix it on both ends. Hopefully you report it and others do to though so you can help each other out. I can see you are really knowledgeable on the issue so can see if you provide the needed stuff it will go a long way with the communty.
