Issues with skill moves on fc24

I’m having problems on fc24 where my skill moves are not being recognised. This is happening on squad battles which is an offline mode and sometimes it’s doing a different skill move altogether. For example, sometimes I’d do a ball roll and it would do a croqueta instead and then one time I did a flair nut Meg and it did a ball roll. I have replaced my controller, I have done tests on my internet and the console is working accordingly so it must be a fault within the game
