issues with ultimate team

I keep getting a error message 'connecting to ultimate team is not possible at the moment. You will now be returned to the main menu.' i have ensured updates on game and console. I have cleared  my ...

    Hey @rivercage21 

    If you're experiencing issues with your ultimate team, please follow these steps: Open the companion app and create a new squad. Use random players of any rarity that are not loaned. Save the squad and set it as your starting lineup. This should resolve any issues you were facing.

    That's a workaround, not a solution

    Also, can't even do that as even the companion app won't let me log in.
