Linking of twitch account

I unlinked my twitch from my EA account in order to try and resolve the XP and packs not being delivered to my account. However now it will not let me re link it and instead says another account is already linked and so this one cannot be linked. (These are the same account) I also notice before unlinking that my account was lots of random letters with no reference to what the actual twitch account was named. Can anyone help me with this or has anyone encountered anything similar?
