Quitting Right Before a Penalty

Sure but where I’m from when someone quits a competitive match..that’s a win.

In any game or sport if the opponent forfeits the win goes to the player that didn’t.. where is the logic this shouldn’t hold true in a competitive online sports game?

I met three players who did this yesterday. I feel like I have wasted a bunch of time. It was the penalty to break the even. EA should prevent players from quitting before the penalty or just give the other side a win to compensate 

I made a suggestion to EA about this kind of thing, I suggested giving it a little softban for a while

for example:

each exit increases the waiting time to play another game, as I believe this would minimize these types of situations

I’ve literally just posted an about this in general discussion. New to forums so no idea there was dedicated UT area.. It’s horrific that we don’t get a win when they leave. 

Bad idea to give soft ban.   a person has the right to quit for numerous reasons.  maybe they have a bad connection and game is not working, maybe they need to use bathroom, maybe dad or mom come in an shut off console because they are getting too angry.  the only correct solution is to give the other player the win, this will make everyone happy and will probably prevent people from quitting games.

Banning is not the answer giving the user a win when the opponent leave for any reason is. These people are doing this deliberately to deny a w for the opponent. If they knew the opponent was going to get a W anyway they would not do it. 

To people who will reply saying no guarantee you will score the pen, it’s not just a problem specific to pens. 

A few weeks ago I was in my final fut champs match it was 2-2 the entire game the opponent was unreal. I played my heart out and got through and around his keeper in the 120th minute.. Just before the ball crossed the line he turned off his console.. He then proceeded to send me abuse.. I needed a W for the next rank it  would have been a personal best for me. I didn’t make it because naturally the person it match me with when I had to play all over again was elite. I lost 8-0… 

If EA gave a W for users still in the game when the opponent leaves this problem would be eradicated, Because the person who denied me would not have the incentive to do so..

This behaviour is deliberate to deny the opponent because they know you get nothing if they quit while it’s level.. 

Another Fut champs another weekend if people doing this.

In a close game was the second half I score 60th min a good goal after finally breaking down his bus… He kicks off scores…. 

LEAVES the game.. Then proceeds to send me a message saying cry…
