Re: Legacy Defending

It's not your imagination, does it feel like you are playing on Ultimate difficulty while your opponents are on Amateur? I am having this problem.

It's incredibly frustrating to see other players successfully tackle from behind or from long distances consistently, while I can't seem to make a single successful tackle, no matter my position or timing. This isn't about a difference in skill; it genuinely feels like the gameplay is broken. The current situation is making the game unfair and unplayable.

If my opponents are able to use legacy defending while I can't, this creates an extremely unbalanced and frustrating experience. Please address this issue @EA, as it's ruining the gameplay.

Sorry @BanesSolace I need to ask next question: are you sure you are not playing against 2 people?

@StopHandicapping Oh no, my coop is off and I would know based on icons on top of opposition players. Yet the accuracy of their advancing towards me can't be explained.

I've tried Advanced and Tactical, Pressure On Heavy Touch, 100 depth but I still can't emulate their gameplay. They just need to turn a little bit and they past me but when I turn a bit they homing on me still like they knew I'd turn.

I’m experiencing the same issue. The opposing team often has two defenders aggressively defending me, but even with aggressive defending instructions switched on, my players just seem to orbit around the opponents like complete idiots, especially the supporting defender.
There’s not much we can do; the game is broken and unbalanced, heavily favouring one side.
Do you play Squad Battles? If so, try this: play Squad Battles on Amateur difficulty, and ensure that your game settings outside of Ultimate Team also have Amateur as the default difficulty. You might get a few easy matches, but by the next day, it’ll likely go back to being unplayable.

@StopHandicappingMy settings outside is on armature, I understand why you would suggest this because I've met opponents who don't mark but leave the AI to do the dirty work while your ai stay silly walking around the pitch on a counter.

My problem is my defending team are never near the opposition. Their defence is rowdy but mine would always have holes in it. A gap between midfield and back four or an idiot keeping opposition on side.
