Re: Stop the quitters in champs/rivals

Said it before and no doubt I'll say it again: there is no fair and reasonable reason why this game does not award you an automatic if your opponent quits a match, regardless of the score. It would be an improvement that would be welcomed by the absolute majority of EA FC 24 players and would at least be one step in the right direction for a game which could and should be so much better than it is currently.

In my opinion there are at least 2 different quitters. I myself am a quitter - when i lose the game 3-0 in 17 minute i quit. There is no point in playing 90 minutes to get 7 goals more - what fun would it be? But the person I play against after i quit has a win, yes? Of course there are people quitting at even 2-0 when I play against them, and I don’t blame them. Of course I would like to play more because it’s much better satisfaction when you win but i don’t blame them.

And there are rage quitters. On wednesday I played a WL qualifier - in 70 minute i was wining 3-2 and my opponent has got red card. I thought, ok, i won. I started bombarding his goal but his goalie miracolously defended every one of my shots, there were of course bars etc. At 88 minute after a corner ball reached his attacker he scored 3-3 and then he quit. So he was playing for 18 minutes not to win this game NO. He played this game so i could not win it and it was his goal, target, pleasure? I Lost 15 minutes of my life, i Lost contracts, hope and nerves. In my opinion the person that quits should get a lose and the other person should get a win no matter the score was.

I don’t see many say one of the problems with awarding a win for a quit. If someone disconnects and you was losing this could make you overtake someone else in the wl. Imagine winning all your games to get in the top 100 but you get beaten out by someone who never even won a game.

I mean it’s a bummer when someone tries to tie up the game just to quit to punish you but you could also be hurting someone by getting bumped up.

It would be better to punish people quitting but they sorta do by a loss and some modes you only get so many tries.

Another problem is say you punish quitters now they just stay in the game hitting a button and waste 15 minutes sure you get the win but how boring would 10 games in a row of that be?

Not really sure of a good way to handle it.

@RadioShaqs It’s a bummer to play against toxic people, people who has time to hit 3 times in a row pause and wait i don’t know for what?
If this game could tell the difference between someone who deliberetly quits the game and someone who has been cut out of power or internet connection. But this is the last of the ea problems.

@RadioShaqs I have to agree with that logic on quitters. There is something every player wants which is justice, I wouldn't want my final 4 games in div 5 to be quit on putting me in div 4,  I simply prefer to win for my accomplishments.

I think that if you're quit upon during a game then if you were winning by say 2 or 3 goals, then possibly yes you get the win, however if the opponents quit during a draw I would think best to keep all contracts and not lose your 2 game streak if you have one, or any progression you have.

I am not sure why people really care about contracts.  When you break down the cost of 11 contracts it’s not even 150 coins.  I realize you can’t just buy 11 contracts but you look at the value lost for 11 contracts it’s pretty small.
