There's way too many people out there saying the exact same things for this to be down to their wifi or connection. We all saw what happened on Tuesday evening and how bad the servers were then, it's clearly a carry-over from that because for the majority of the time i've had smooth gameplay for the last month
I dunno why it’s a waste of time if you check your internet at say speed tests it’s going to be different when you check ea servers. When you do the tests it gives you an idea if it’s a connection Issue or ea server issue.
- BanesSolace1 year agoSeasoned Veteran@RadioShaqs Bro this is getting old, if there are a series of fix we can do, let us know. Not every in each region or using similar isp are suffering the same. So its clearing more of the game than just the server.
JUST LIST THE FIXES!!- number51 year agoNew Veteran
That is what I keep saying. Our ISP's are collectively transporting us to the same servers using the same mechanisms all over the globe. Most things being equal, we shouldnt all experience the same thing, destined for the same place when we are all on different medium and in different areas.
Why does FIFA have such a bad "connection" (since thats the excuse for the "gameplay") and other games from the same manufacturer do not?
It is far more likely the game is severely flawed than it is that hundreds and thousands of players have similar inconsistency issues regardless of day of week/time of day and have been having them since the inception of Ultimate Team.
"old school" lag and delay was very noticeable when the gameplay was stable (pre FIFA 16). You could play any online mode and the game behaved the same. Now, every day, every match, every player, every camera angle, every tactic, every setting, every mode is inconsistent.

@BanesSolaceLike I said I just try to help people as ea can’t get to everyone although I wish they could. Ea posted in your other thread in I think the technical section. It looks like they are going to try to run you through the process to help you fix it so respond in there and hopefully they can help you.
Also number 5 if you are talking older fifas lag would have been different pre servers. I forget what year they added them been playing since 12 but it was p2p. So one player was the host and you would get that start stop lag.

Yea I’m aware. not saying on p2p the games weren’t necessarily ever free form lag or delay, but they’ve been a server based gaming for a while and in the early days, I think pre-cloud servers maybe, it was a little better. It wouldn’t be mad in the slightest if EA just admitted the code for a football sim doesn’t play well with the cloud infra they’ve decided to employ or that their costs are too steep. At least we’d know why that can’t fix something that’s so obviously messed up.
The really bad days for ultimate team started in that 2017 onward timeframe. The craziness we see now really ramped up in 2019 with the crazy increase in cards too.
Somewhere all the old threads are probably archived and EA can say they should have seen this coming

@RadioShaqs it's a waste of time because we all know it's the EA servers that are the problem. Today, for the second time this week, we've got an extended period of time where a large % of people are being disconnected from servers when an opponent quits, or when they finish a game, so they're being given losses regardless of whether they won the game or not
I totally understand your rationale behind doing the input overlay and I know you're just trying to help etc... but it's not going to make any difference. When the gameplay is bad, the gameplay is bad, we can't do anything to change that. You can look on reddit, twitter, this forum etc.. and the vast majority of threads are about A) upcoming content and B) Poor/delayed gameplay.
Yesterday playing rivals, the gameplay was an absolute joke, it was unresponsive and sluggish and it wasn't the same smooth gameplay i've had for the last month or so consistently. Then... a few hours later I played the cup and all of a sudden the gameplay was 10x more responsive despite using significantly worse players. It's clear as day to see (Especially from the major issues this week with disconnects, laggy menus, failure to open packs or assign items etc...) that it's a problem on EA's end that's impacting the majority, if not all of the community of players. People aren't just criticising this game because they've got nothing better to do, there's major problems with it and EA haven't addressed any of them
- RadioShaqs1 year agoHero@Cam3131 I get that you think it’s a server issue but just like banes ea will ask him to do the test to determine it. I get it bane said he won’t add any more detail he just wants it fixed which is fine I don’t care I don’t have a problem with the servers.
If you do and so do other people in this thread and want it looked at the tests are important if you want ea to look into it like they did with sa.
Without them it just looks like an isp issue.- 1 year ago@RadioShaqs Mate come on... it's quite clearly server problems. Everywhere you turn people are having the exact same problems regardless of their wifi speed, whether they play wired or on wifi etc...
Tuesday last week = Every game played was disconnecting people from the servers when the game ended and was counting as a loss regardless of the result (Was happening in Squad battles, rivals and Champs)
Friday day time = Same again
Today = Reports of it happening again (It's happened twice to me today during squad battles and I NEVER get server disconnects on any games, ever)
It's not ISP problems, that's just a weak way of letting EA off the hook. There's clearly a widespread issue, you only have to look at the sheer number of times the EA direct communication on twitter has tweeted out about stability problems since the game came out to realise it's not people's individual connections that are the problem here
