@RadioShaqs I know that this is your advice to everyone mate but it's a waste of time. I know what my internet is like, I know what the gameplay is like when the servers are working properly, I know what the difference is when they're not working properly.
There's way too many people out there saying the exact same things for this to be down to their wifi or connection. We all saw what happened on Tuesday evening and how bad the servers were then, it's clearly a carry-over from that because for the majority of the time i've had smooth gameplay for the last month

@Cam3131 Try playing some squad battles, edit custom tactics a bit, emphasis on a bit. I did that and somehow the delay disappeared.
I am starting to think it's not just a server issue but a bug in the system.
My players felt like gold cards, went into the custom tactics and made some adjustments, behold my players became responsive defense and offence wise.
