Transfer market web app access document
I seem to be having an issue with reading comprehension and could use the support of an EA advisor. After purchasing EA FC24 on the Nintendo Switch and playing 4-5 squad battles a day for a few days I expected the web app transfer market to unlock as it has in every previous version of the game. To my surprise, after a week I still didn't have access and started to wonder why. Thankfully there was a helpful link on the web app to a EA help document that gave instruction on how to gain access to the market. Here is the link for those having the same issue since it was so helpful to me (Not very helpful link)
In that article it states:
How long it takes to unlock the Transfer Market is based on a few different factors.
- Your account history and if it’s in good standing by following the EAS FC rules.
- How many different Ultimate Team™ accounts you’re using on the same device.
- How many active days of Ultimate Team™ you’ve played.
- An active day is when you’ve played three full matches in Ultimate Team™ and logged into the Web or Companion App within a calendar day, following UTC timezones, per Ultimate Team™ account.
Playing more than three matches per day won’t increase your chances of unlocking the Transfer Market.
Below are some examples of how many active days of playing it takes to get access to the Transfer Market.
- For an Ultimate Team™ account that’s in good standing, and is the only account that’s been created on or logged into from a device, playing two active days would normally earn you access.
- For an Ultimate Team™ account in good standing that’s not the only Ultimate Team™ account that’s been created on or logged into from a device, it would take at least four active days to earn access. Depending on the number of Ultimate Team™ accounts used on a device, it could take longer.
- If you share your device with siblings or friends who also play Ultimate Team™, it may take more time to gain access on each Ultimate Team™ account
So it would seem that I had met all the guidelines but still didn't have access. It was at this time I decided to check the forum here and noticed a 65 page thread on the topic so I knew I wasn't alone at least (We need help! ). The very first response by an EA advisor was to play all the modes, use the transfer market in game, etc.... but that seems to contradict the information EA is providing to us on how to access the market in the first place. So what gives? I then decided to reach out to EA chat, which was a task because you can't do so by selecting web app transfer market access as your topic so I tried "I got hacked". When I got through to someone, they told me that the server was automated and they have no control over access. It could take 100, 200, 500 games before unlocking. I responded that this was a strange thing to say considering the article is very clear on how to gain access and even goes so far as to say "Playing more than three matches per day won’t increase your chances of unlocking the Transfer Market." It also says that unlocking the market is a matter of playing a certain number of "active days" and defines an active day as playing 3 matches in Ultimate Team in a given day and then logging into the web app within the same day. There are a few variables that could make it so it takes a few more days to login such as multiple accounts or an account not in good standing but as I was playing on Nintendo Switch (only one account per device allowed) and my account was new, I didn't have either of those issues that would've increased my time to unlock. Unfortunately, at this point EA chat will just stonewall and continue saying you must play all modes and they can't unlock manually any sooner. Ok, I understand that they can't unlock but why go into detail in the document describing how to gain access to the web app when that information is either incorrect, not complete or there is an issue effecting access to the market for many of us and EA just don't care to fix it?
So at this point I'm asking an EA advisor to assist with one of the following requests, either one will do.
1.) Fix the access issue for those of us who have played hundreds of matches over the course of 40+ "active days".
2.) Update the EA help document to provide actual guidance on how to access the market. Do we need to play every single mode offline and in UT, Volta, etc... and if so, how many? Anything else?
I say all this because after playing over a month getting copy/paste responses from EA help to "just keep playing", I'd like to know why paying customers must continue to play at a disadvantage to the rest of the field due to EA ineptitude.
