Unable to apply contracts

I have just packed Futties Didier Drogba from a Futties 96+ pick. However, it says he has no contracts and will not allow me to apply contracts to him. He was a duplicate and have sold my tradeable one!

Please help as he’s my starting striker.

Reset the game. It is basically impossible to get a no contract player from packs. Every card starts with the bare minimum 7 contacts. Did you check both players before selling your tradable version?
Could be a conflict in players you have.
