I thought you only got 3 or 4 pauses all game. If they choose to use them then to help with them.
I get what you're saying about interruption of the game, but its hardly cheating, unsporting yes. If I have a game and it's been done to me, I take longer to start the game.

Yes you only have 4 pauses each, so why do they press the start button all the time even if they don't have any more left?
They do it through the entire match.
My point is about how repeatedly pressing the start button can make the gameplay less responsive, giving players an unfair advantage. This tactic is used only when they are being attacked. I never claimed that you could pause indefinitely; that's obviously not possible.
Instead of defending, players rapidly press the start button, causing my team members to freeze or execute erratic actions. This leads to unresponsive gameplay, where players stand still, fail to react to the ball, and don't make any runs. This disrupts the flow of the game and makes it nearly impossible to implement effective attacking strategies. To me that's a clear abuse of game's mechanics.
Please test this while you are attacking. When you'll notice that everything suddenly becomes slower, especially the gameplay responsiveness, please press the start button, I bet you that than you'll get a message saying that your opponent has already requested to pause the match. Try this again when there are no more pauses left, try it few times when you are attacking, and you'll always receive the same message, along with a note saying that no more pauses are available.
This was initially hard to notice, but I've started to see it happening more frequently. Whenever I try to pause the game, I find that my opponent has already requested a pause. If I press the button again, I can see the message constantly changing, as if my opponent keeps pressing the start button. I was puzzled at first, but then I realized that this behaviour was affecting the gameplay, and I finally connected the dots.
Please note: this doesn't work out for them well all the time but most of the time, I'd say 80% of the time.
I hope I made my point clear now, if not please let me know and I try to explain it better.
Thank you for reading! Your attention and comments on this are very much appreciated.
Kind regards,
- RadioShaqs11 months agoHero@StopHandicapping Maybe they just forget how many they used. They also might not like the way you are playing. I don’t think it’s cheating if they are not getting extra pauses.

All of them forgot they don't have any more pauses left, even after their are being constantly remained via message on the screen that they don't have any pauses left??? What???
And then they continuously and rapidly press the start button, right?
Why do they press the start button continuously and rapidly?
the key words are:
continuously & rapidly.
That's obviously not normal, and you completly ignored my comments regarding gameplay being affect.
Thank you for your response, but I found your reply to be somewhat dismissive and lacking in understanding.
Do you have any specific questions?
- RockDokRock11 months agoSeasoned Ace@StopHandicapping IF someone does that just quit. Toxic play is usually a straight quit from me. This time of year the game is unplayable as it's just a skill-move-spam factory and nobody wants to play football... just spam skill moves to themselves.
- RadioShaqs11 months agoHero@RockDokRock While spamming skill moves might be annoying I don’t think that’s the same as cheating like the op is talking about.
- Burnzee11 months agoSeasoned Veteran@RadioShaqs I remember that was an issue in the old Madden games with pausing, where your opponent would pause, and there was no limit to get back in to the game, so essentially you could be sitting there for 30 minutes. Why they thought that was a good idea?
- RadioShaqs11 months agoHero@Burnzee People find a way to use anything to annoy you. Before the 3 own goals would kick you people would score an own goal repeat celebrate and take just seconds off the clock. That would make the game take an hour to play. I figured that was what op was originally talking about with pausing.
