Why can’t you have more than one active Evolution at a time?

Why do EA take the fun out of good ideas? By not allowing you to have more than one Evolution active at a time, you have to play SO many games to get the players you want and it becomes a grind and hence no longer fun. Evolution players aren’t overpowered so I don’t see a problem with this, other than it’s less likely to force gamers to buy packs instead.
