Career mode coach stat boost no longer works???

Why does my manager career mode coaching stat boost not apply to my players during every single match? They’re just at zero instead of +4 or something nowadays. It defeats the purpose of paying careful attention to coaches, coach experience levels, strategies etc in career mode. Or just bothering with career mode generally. It honestly staggers me how the game gets more bugged and less playable with each update…
