Career Mode Crashes When Pressing "Advance" – 60+ Crash Dumps, No Fix Available
I play EA SPORTS FC 25 on PC (EA App) – and Career Mode is the only mode I play.
But after investing over 80 hours across multiple careers, I’ve had to give up entirely. The mode is broken.
The game always crashes when I press "Advance" in the Career Mode menu. It freezes for a second and then completely closes to desktop — no error message, no crash report. This happens every single time – and always within the first season.
The longest I was able to play was up to around February, after the first winter transfer window. That save consistently crashes 3–4 days before a match on February 22. It doesn’t matter which of my 3 rotating saves I load — it always crashes at that exact point.
The shortest time I managed to play was only 2 matches into the season before it crashed.
This isn’t a random glitch. It’s consistent and reproducible. I’ve tried:
1, 2, 3 alternating save files (saving after each match)
Repairing the game
Avoiding editing players, youth scouts, training, etc.
Clean installs, clean boots, running as admin – nothing helps
Each time, I start over: create a new manager, set everything up again, pre-season tournaments, settings, etc. Only to crash again after 2 to 20 matchdays.
The frustration is enormous — and I now have 60+ crash dump files documenting all of it.
I sent everything to EA Support. They reviewed it and simply said:
“No fix available.”
No escalation. No refund. No solution.
I’m honestly exhausted. 80 hours of effort, and all I get is frustration and resets. Career Mode is completely unplayable for me.
If anyone else has this issue — you’re not alone.
And to EA: Please stop ignoring this. Fix Career Mode. This isn’t just a bug — it’s a broken product.
