Dribbling

Does anyone feel that dribbling mechanics feel odd after the latest update  and most players have no distinction in the way they dribble. Managed to dribble past 5 players with De Ligt twice and he always felt clunky when trying to go past one player before the update.

Watched the dribbling closely in a replay and every player has such close/tight dribbling. The ball barely moves away from their feet. It almost feels like the ball is glued to the foot with no separation and variation. Presume this is to please the UT community who want a fast paced, unrealistic dribbling and tight turning game which defies biomechanics and realism.

I think I'm finally done with the game now. It feels completely  lifeless now with these changes and easier and dumbed down where scoring goals is so much easier so it loses any sense of achievement and enjoyment. Had to go full manual after the update and scoring goals without much effort.

Back to playing non-football games as this game has deviated so far from any sort of simulation mechanics and reverted to the arcade style of unrealistic football.

I get they need to appease the UT community and those that play online but why can't they have a setting that caters for both styles of play. Those that want a close to a proper simulation game as possible where players don't feel like Sonic the hedgehog on steroids and for those that want to play fast ping pong football with unrealistic dribbling and turning.

Update: I changed the sliders after some recommendations on YouTube and changed the difficulty to legendary because the attacking felt too dumbed down and overpowered in every way (through balls, shots, passing, movement etc) and the game felt a bit more of a simulation and started enjoying but only lasted a couple of games and the gameplay started feeling buggy again, dribbling, animation, ball speed etc feels broken.

Simply put, I only play the career mode and it's buggy and the gameplay is broken. Money down the drain.
