Games not counting: "error communicating with EA servers" at end of match

Problem: At the end of a Clubs game, after the final whistle goes, all players on the team are presented with a message along the lines of "There was an error communicating with the EA servers". The ...

This has been happening to my team. We played 8 games today and 3 didn't count, all wins. Sometimes these games are intense and mentally exhausting. And then the wins don't count and it's a huge let down.
