Shame the form couldn't continue against Købehavn, never a good day to lose to your rivals. Whilst the points are still there to play for 10 points gap may be considered steep at this stage, but also leaves something to build on

Yes, exactly. I really felt the fixtures lining up quickly here, and it became quite clear that my squad needs more depth to challenge the top 2 teams. I never wanted the league title already in the first season, but I do hope that results work out so I'll qualify for one of the European competitions. But that will only be more reason to address the depth issue.

Danish club football flying high, what an excellent performance by Midtjylland in Europa League!
Battle for 3rd between Brøndby and AGF. It's close...

Yes indeed. And the surprising part is that FC København is not the club to make it that far. They have - by far - been the Danish club to have held the highest standards in Europe, somehow finding a way to perform well against Manchester United or City or whatever in midweek, then going to Haderslev on the Sunday to play SønderjyskE. FC Midtjylland and Brøndby have so far failed to balance these things, often falling short in Europe despite providing an adequate competition for the Copenhagen club in the league from time to time.

Essentially a win and European football is in the bag, given the goal difference two draws would do it as well....
Never knew Aarhus GF had such a reputation as cup fighter.

To be honest, I was actually a bit surprised about AGF's cup record too. It does help them being one of the older clubs though. With FC København and FC Midtjylland both formed in the 1990's - and FC Nordsjælland in 2003 - older clubs like AGF, Vejle, AaB etc have had more years to make their mark.

The artificial pitch hoodoo is over winning on both along the way. 3rd place was the ideal finish all round for development and story purposes. The worst part would be having rivals lift the trophy on your turf as well. Regardless with the itehr results even a win would've resulted in same outcome

So if AGF win the Cup, you need to play Viborg in a play-off;
If FCM win the Cup, you're going into Europe and AGF needs to play Viborg;
- correct?

Agreed. 3rd place was pretty much my preferred outcome here. And perhaps it took something from FC København's celebrations that - 1. They didn't win the game, and - 2. Brøndby also got the result they wanted.
The downside is, however, that I failed to win a single derby this season. Out of four attempts. Regardless of where I finish in the league, this will not fly.

I would have thought so, actually, but a Brøndby vs Viborg Playoff match was already scheduled before the cup final was played 🤷♂️

that makes sense if the champion goes Champions League qualifying, the cup winner into Europa League en the rest to Conference League. That would mean Midtjylland and AGF are fighting for Europa League (runner-up goes to Conference League), while you and Viborg are playing for a ticket in the Conference League.
Very curious about your post earl next season (you've always been a little faster in career season progress than the rest), if there are qualy-rounds and how they look.
