Essentially a win and European football is in the bag, given the goal difference two draws would do it as well....
Never knew Aarhus GF had such a reputation as cup fighter.

To be honest, I was actually a bit surprised about AGF's cup record too. It does help them being one of the older clubs though. With FC København and FC Midtjylland both formed in the 1990's - and FC Nordsjælland in 2003 - older clubs like AGF, Vejle, AaB etc have had more years to make their mark.

The artificial pitch hoodoo is over winning on both along the way. 3rd place was the ideal finish all round for development and story purposes. The worst part would be having rivals lift the trophy on your turf as well. Regardless with the itehr results even a win would've resulted in same outcome

So if AGF win the Cup, you need to play Viborg in a play-off;
If FCM win the Cup, you're going into Europe and AGF needs to play Viborg;
- correct?

Agreed. 3rd place was pretty much my preferred outcome here. And perhaps it took something from FC København's celebrations that - 1. They didn't win the game, and - 2. Brøndby also got the result they wanted.
The downside is, however, that I failed to win a single derby this season. Out of four attempts. Regardless of where I finish in the league, this will not fly.

I would have thought so, actually, but a Brøndby vs Viborg Playoff match was already scheduled before the cup final was played 🤷♂️

that makes sense if the champion goes Champions League qualifying, the cup winner into Europa League en the rest to Conference League. That would mean Midtjylland and AGF are fighting for Europa League (runner-up goes to Conference League), while you and Viborg are playing for a ticket in the Conference League.
Very curious about your post earl next season (you've always been a little faster in career season progress than the rest), if there are qualy-rounds and how they look.

Good news on winning the playoff. At least the gaffer isn't sitting on this and just accepting the season, knows there is plenty of work to do going forward and improvements needed. Let's see what he can build.
Nice way of explaining that league will remain with same sides, always the downside to only 1 league, but least we're able to involve it in the story.
I know you like addressing these things some way or another, half expected you to report them as different teams, but figured that might over complicate things especially if none fall into relegation next season, just creates extra work

Thanks, yeah my first option was to play on with the relegated teams, but change their club names and logos in the story. That's also what I did, when I played with Vejle in FIFA23.
But with the way I've kept focus on other teams' results, goal scorers etc., I couldn't see the end of the extra work I'd need to do, renaming players and all sorts of other stuff, in order to keep the realism I was aiming for.
In real life there is in fact an issue with the Odense Boldklub (OB) fans at the moment, and several First Division clubs have stadiums that aren't suited for the first tier. So this proved to be a welcome workaround for me to do it a bit different this time.

Scorers in the 24/25 Conference League Qualifiers between Brøndby and Legia:

Quite a mixed start to the season. Top of the league for now which is great but the ongoing stat for games against Købehavn and Midtjylland is something that needs to improve especially if gonna keep with them or do better than them.
Losing a star player is never easy but a good fee and was obviously prepared for this having a replacement pretty much in the wings to come in.

Keeping the poor stat against the two FC-clubs is obviously poor, but apart from that I think it's a stretch calling this a mixed start to the season. 😉 Top of the league, undefeated, best attack and best defence. The result vs Silkeborg was poor (and the performance was even worse), but a 2-0 win in Nordsjælland easily made up for that IMO.
Regarding departures I expected offers for Kvistgaarden and Vallys this summer. Especially the latter being the top assister of the league last season. Used to be a thing in FIFA, that offers would be guaranteed for the top scorer, the top assister and the golden glove winner. Anyway, I'm happy things worked out this way, especially with Kvistgaarden as a homegrown player. Spoiler alert, didn't lose any of them in the remaining part of the window either.
Losing Spierings wasn't ideal, as I really liked having him in the number 6 role. But such a fee for a 29 year old, that was too good to decline, and I also felt I needed to sell someone to keep a realistic pace in this save. Two successive summer windows without major departures? Nah. And in that light I didn't mind him leaving that much...
