In your save
København was 1st in 2025 - goes to UCL Q
Brøndby was 1st in 2026 (+cup) - goes to UCL Q
Midtjylland was 2nd in '25 (+ cup) & '26- goes to UCL Q, ended up in UEL
Brøndby was 3rd in 2025 - goes to UEL Q
Nordsjælland was 3rd in 2026 - goes to UEL Q
AGF was 4th in 2025 - goes to UEL Q
København was 4th in 2026 - goes to UEL Q
Nordsjælland was 5th in 2025 - directly into ECL
AGF was 5th in 2026 - goes directly to ECL
In my save (2024-25)
AGF champions - directly to UCL
Midtjylland 2nd - UCL Q, ended up in UEL
Brøndby IF 3rd - UEL Q
Silkeborg cup winner - UEL Q (eliminated), go to ECL
København 4th - goes directly into ECL
Randers 5th - ECL Q (qualified)
Now, how do I know Silkeborg is cup winner in my save? They weren't in the top 6 and they play Europa League.
That would mean that either the league's 5th or 6th plays a play-off with 7th for the qualifying spot in European Conference League.
I think (and this has been noticed by others too) the game has introduced some sort of ranking, reqard or random system in place because for some reason in my second season, those countries that had finalists now have extra teams in Europe: Italy [8], France [8], Scotland [6] and Denmark [6]
In 2025: play-off was Brøndby (3rd) v Viborg (7th)
Who played the play-off 2026? Logic says Nordsjælland v Randers

Yes, that's exactly right. And Nordsjælland beat Randers 2-1 and went into Europe. Now, my question is. What would have happened, if Nordsjælland had lost that game? Would their ticket to Europe then be taken by Randers? And would they then not qualify for Europe, even though 4th, 5th and 6th in the table would? If this is the case, then the 3rd place must be the least attractive finish among the top 6...

Indeed. When 3rd place isn't the cup winner, they play against the winner of the bottom half for a place in the qualifying round of Conference League. Strange...
