Did you skip round 7 and 8 intentionally: Nordsjaelland & Midtjylland? Or, did nothing change among the top 3 (meaning: everybody defeated Nordsjaelland, Midtjylland or AGF)
The way I read it, is that København and Brøndby are a point ahead of Viborg, with København having superior goal difference.

No, not intentionally, no. Thought I'd posted those. I got ahead of myself and have deleted the cup semi final and round 9 and posted round 7 and 8 in stead. Ooops.
You can see the league table after round 8 now. And I suppose I got to spoil the fact that Viborg beat AGF 3-0 in match 9, whilst FC København beat Brøndby by the same numbers and took the first place before the final game - against Viborg.
The deleted pages will come up again soon, so the chronology is back in order. Sorry about the confusion.

Great, so before the final game it's
- København 66 (+4)
- Brøndby 64 (+3)
- Viborg 63 (+11)
- Nordsjælland 59 (+4)
So, the top three could change every second: exciting, nerve wrecking...

I really like your blog idea for a player in the team breaking through. Have you ever done a my player story. In the future you could make a great player career with the blogs. Anyway really enjoying the story so far 🙂

Yes, exactly. Except Viborg having a +7 goal difference. 8-4 after 8 games in the "slutspil". 3-0 win in match 9. 11-4, that's +7.

Thanks mate! And no, I've never played a player career. I think I tried it once it came out as a new thing, but it's the manager part that intrigues me, buying and selling players, building something good and sustainable.
The only thing that changes from save to save is the way I try to tell the story. For now I have game by game updates, but I've also done packages of 4-5 games per update and so on. And now we read it from a player's point of view, this has also been written from the manager's point of view, or via updates from the club's website etc. There are many ways to do this, but I find it to be a bit hard to choose what it "best" for me. I like this one though, but one needs a proper talent, before it's possible, I reckon.

Well done: a very respectable 2nd place for a small team like Viborg. It was a demonstration of how far one can get by just keeping it tight at the back for most of the time. You'll always have a shot or two at goal each game, so then it's just a matter of efficiency. Into the Champions League then!

Yes! Unfortunately the game still provides crazy over the top expectations. My board now expects me to reach the Champions League Quarter Final. An accomplishment which a Danish club has never been able to do, and it is now expected from Viborg in the club's first ever entry to the qualifiers? That's awful. I hope I set the settings right, when I started this, so I won't get fired, if I miss the qualifier and end up in the Europa League in stead.

Instead, if you drop back into a different tournament they adjust expectations. However, they are usually more challenging than the previous ones. Should you end up in Europea League, they'll be expecting semi finals I guess. If you can compensate with good domestic and financial results, I think you'll be safe anyway.

Sounds good. I was also just referring to all the settings you adjust before starting. Which are difficult to remember and understand the consequences of. I really don't recall hos "lenient" I set it too, but I'm pretty sure I set it up so I shouldn't be fired too easily. I suppose I'm just not that comfortable with ignoring the critical board objectives yet.

From one side I'm thinking: okay, it's only Viborg.
The other side is thinking: okay, it's only HJK as opponent. A team that is on par with Denmark's best shouldn't have any issue with the easiest of champions (in the game) together with the one from Ireland.Nevertheless, you'll go to the play-off round: it's either Champions League or Europa League. You could bump into serious opponents: the champions of either Croatia, Hungary, Czechia, Ukraine or Switzerland are all formidable teams.
