(Manager) Can’t sign players with -6 months of contract

I’m having this issue where I can’t sign a player ending a contract with another club.

In the scout report it says the player has less than 6 months of contract remaining. In transfer hub it says “we can approach this player directly” but then there’s no option to sign, just approach the club to buy or loan.

This is happening to every single player (obviously over 23 yo and outside england by the way).

Please fix this issue.
