4-2-2-2 is a very difficult system, both to play it and to defend it.
I'm curious to see how the manager will use the winter break to tweak things to his liking and if there'll be many mutations in the squad.
I have never played a 4-2-2-2 before. The squad does not have a lot of wingers, mostly ST and CM/DM so I thought I would give it a try. Especially since Fielder has used it at times with VfB II from what I have read.
I can see you've modded the game (mention of Slovan Bratislava).
For me it"s still a big riddle. I understand it's a matter of licensing, but if they can add some unofficial Italian teams, why can't they add some unofficial UEFA teams, so that all countries at least have a team in the UEFA tournaments. Cities like Bratislava, Sarajevo, or Belgrade; clubs like Ludogorets, Maribor, or Maccabi.
Ermedin Demirovic is a forward, I used myself some time ago. I think it was whilst playing with HSV, I'm not completely sure about that though. But he was definitely an Augsburg player then, so it was before his transfer to Stuttgart. Seeing him make a brace for you takes me back a little bit. I remember that I really enjoyed playing with him then. And I assume he could be a great player for you as well.
7 points from your first 4 league games ain't bad for somebody stepping in midway.
The big benefit of stepping in halfway is that one can use (only part of) the first season as an upbeat to the second season, which is essentially the first season where you can have things your way (squad, staff, finances and a start from scratch)
Exactly. I am trying to win games this season of course but I am also trying to determine what players are part of the future and what ones I want to move on.
The January window will be about cleaning out the squad a bit. It is pretty big, then we can look at replacements and adding depth.
That game sounds like a thriller. Unfortunate to end with a defeat, especially with more possession, 15 shots against 10 and a marginally superior xG.
The comments from Demirovic is a concern though. I suppose he's a "crucial" player, and those guys just have a habit to complain when subbed off in a draw or defeat. I have the same issue with Ismaila Coulibaly in my save. Always moaning if I take him off and we don't win the game.
I'm curious though. Did El Bilal Touré come on in stead of him? Or was he subbed off for another? Because if Demirovic was subbed off and his replacement scored a brace, then his comments seem out of place, don't they?
@JustinCase0110 Touré came in for him. It was a straight sub at the striker position. I was thinking the same, I have never received a message from a player like this before. I have received some “Sorry for the result but thank you for playing me” or “I think I would have made a difference” type messages but this one was different.

For me it happens quite regularly, when a player with a crucial role is subbed off and I don't end up winning the particular game. Then they will often send a text like the one mentioned. It's a bit stupid, when the replacement then comes on to score a brace. But I suppose it's just to make it mean something that a player has a "crucial" role in the squad.
Interesting that you have more possession than Freiburg, but only two thirds of their amount of passes. I don't know what to make of that. Are you perhaps dribbling a lot compared to a more passing-based approach from the visitors?
Interesting decision to ban Demirovic. Hopefully this will have a positive impact on him and not make him attend an interview with Piers Morgan or something like that.
