For example, players’ performances often don’t match their stats, making the results feel completely unrealistic. On top of that, it’s nearly impossible to keep a player at their peak overall rating once they hit their maximum potential. They immediately start to regress, no matter how well they perform in matches, which feels unfair and overly restrictive.

As a result, building a strong team or developing players loses its purpose when progression is so short-lived and regression kicks in too fast. To make matters worse, simulated matches often have bizarre, unbalanced outcomes, where much weaker teams consistently beat stronger ones. These issues turn what should be an enjoyable experience into a frustrating grind, robbing Career Mode of its potential.
