Career Mode Problems
Career mode has a lot of great things about it but it has many problems too. Seeing that the headline of this says career mode and not ultimate team (gambling simulator), this probably wont be read by a single EA employee
- Customization - This is easily my biggest problem with career mode. There is absolutely no room for any sort of customization. With the exception of real players, you should be able to change name, height appearance, etc of generated players. The other day I got an English youth academy wonder kid the other day with 94 potential and five playstyles. The only issue was that his name was “Mason Mason.” I nearly put my controller through the TV. While this is not an issue for PC players, console players deal with this stupid stuff all the time. It’s absolutely ridiculous. Since you lot are so money hungry, why don’t you charge for an add on that allows for customization on Xbox and PS like Football Manager does? I’d certainly buy it so maybe that’ll get your attention.
- Playstyles - This was actually a really good addition to the game. It makes players unique and the game is more fun to play. But whoever applied playstyles to career mode has a room temperature IQ. Why are they random? Why can’t you even train them? If I want a youth player with specific playstyles, why in the world do I have to keep reloading the game until I get it? It makes no sense whatsoever and ruins the gameplay and wastes time for the player.
- EA Neglect - This is just a general problem. You lot do not care about career mode players at all. It’s a joke. Like I said above, you’d rather appeal to a 13 year old gambling addict using mommy’s credit card to buy packs than someone who’s been playing your game for a decade. Really shows how grimy you people are. Things like not having sliders for def awareness and composure, not being able to train free kick accuracy, unrealistic transfers, no customization, and other stupid glitches have been problems for years but they’ve been neglected by EA the entire time.
The career mode community has been very vocal about this game mode being deeply flawed for years, but the flaws persist. When are you lot gonna acknowledge them? My guess is probably never, but I hope someone sees this in hopes that at least they know how scummy they are.
