'Casual players' - a misinterpretation?
I wonder if the term 'casual player' is being, and has been, misinterpreted? For some, the term 'casual player' will mean a person who only plays one to four (for the sake of an example of a low number of) matches per day. For others, 'casual player' will mean non-competitive, ie they like to only play (any number of) games against AI opponents and have no interest in playing online against real people.
If the second definition is more accurate, then a lot of posts around the number of Squad Battle / Rivals games, become clearer (or make even less sense!). More importantly, if would mean that EA has either accidentally 'misread the room' and given users some things that the majority didn't actually want, or used such a misinterpretation to justify certain changes to appease a minority (but very influential) number of pros and/or YouTubers.
Hopefully the above post is coherent and makes some sense, though I'm currently only operating on one cup of coffee!
