Yep, couldn’t agree more. Cheating is a definite an issue (one that EA seems to be doing little or nothing about as far as I can tell) and that combined with persistent lag/latency and the garbage mechanics to level the playing field (like pacy forwards who suddenly decelerate for no reason on breakaways to let the defender catch up) makes the game pretty miserable to play. It’s hard to remember the last time I played more than two matches without at some point wanting to smash my controller in frustration. And to top it all off you have a company that seems completely deaf and/or indifferent to what is said in here. I’ve been very active in these forums over the last seven to eight months and seen scores of legitimate issues raised and almost zero response/acknowledgement from EA. They created these forums but they appear not to have committed anywhere near the required resources to make them mean something. Instead, it just feels like a dark room where frustrated users can go to shout into the void and occasionally find commiseration with other similarly disillusioned souls.
Just likethe_real_sharkyM I am old enough to have played the original EA titles back when “if it’s in the game, it’s in the game” meant something. Sadly, I agree that EA has lost its way with the FC franchise and, at this point, I have no intention of wasting my money on FC26. Perhaps it’s a function of not having any serious competition, but the game (and especially FC25) has become a lot less playable and a lot less fun. I could do without some of the bells and whistles if it meant the gameplay was less sluggish. I’m sick and tired of feeling like my skill matters less than whether I encounter lag, a cheater, bizarre decelerations or all of the above. Do something EA or kiss your customers goodbye.
