@RadioShaqs CASUAL PLAYERS ARE NOT THE SAME AS PLAYERS WHO SWEAT AND MAKE RIVALS AND CHAMPS UNPLAYABLE.
Some people would like to play more than 12 games a week and be rewarded for each of those matches. You are NOT obligated to play all 40 games or squad battles at all.
You people keep looking at the time someone will be on the game and that isn't really relevant because not everyone wants to play all 40 in one or 2 sittings.
This was a mode that someone who did NOT play rivals or Champs at all could play the 40 games through the week and still have a chance at earning something worth their time.
At the moment squad battles is very short. More people will be playing and most of those people will be playing on world class, legendary, and the ultimate difficulties. Someone who plays on professional or lower now stands no chance at catching up and getting the rewards they would've gotten in FC24 unless they push themselves.
This benefits EA because now those players who do not get rivals and Champs rewards will have to spend money for offline drafts and lost packs or just play their daily games and move on until next week.
From the perspective of someone who plays all the modes I can see how 12 would benefit you and take less time. But from the perspective of someone who does not play the online head to head modes they just had their only casual grind become another competition.
12 takes less time but makes things much sweatier.

@lansenylYou are rewarded, you get 500+ coins per game and progress towards objectives.
And if someone only plays squad battles then the rewards are more than enough to build a solid gold team, then you have objective players too.

@b24073 I understand what you're saying. Hackers and those that have a better understanding of manipulating the gameplay are the ones that benefit from this because it's no longer a waste of their time to do so. - 5 months ago@lansenil exactly
