EA FC 25 is definitely the worst game in history

If anyone who is new to this game wants to see what is wrong with it I suggest they play some online matches especially rivals or champions. It always reminds me of the equivalence of a visit to the dentist. I only play these games if i have to advance evolution players or objectives. EA makes us have to play online which I hate.

1. They always shoot from exactly the same diagonal shot spots in the goal area. Often, they will position their striker in your goal area and strafe dribble back and forth maybe four, five or more times until you can't keep up then score (such realism LOL - i dare someone to say they have ever seen this in a real game at the highest level) Apparently it is like almost the only shot they know the goalkeeper will never stop. The goalkeeper never stops it thanks to EA scripting. It's been that way for many versions of this game through the years so thanks for the consistency EA.
2. All deflections seem to always go back to an attacker including those from goalposts, an example of where physics has been adjusted to suit the lesser skilled but higher game speed players.
3. My opponents will always try to choke me in my own half. I haven't seen any opponents who play any other way. No playing style of their own. Even squad battle teams now seem to do the same the higher level you play. Good practice for me there - World Class, Legendary.
4. Almost all my online opponents are really bad at defending. They also can't keep possession of the ball for more than one pass. I'm actually doing all the work and then the game makes one of my passes go too slow or hard and next thing i know they score down the other end off one pass only.

I still have trouble understanding why absolutely everyone I've ever played against play exactly the same way. If you can't play your own way than why do you play at all?

If you go against the game design like I do and play an expansive passing game (yes I am one of those rare players who is a fan of the real game of soccer) you can at least win against the worse of these online EA playing style clones. I have a team full of short statured players (e.g. Sawa) with acceleration faster than their top speed and preferrably with quick step playstyle and high passing abilities. My midfield are short fast defensive minded CMs or CDMs. My goal is to not send or receive the ball near one of the opposing players. I never win one-on-one challenges either in the air or on the ground because I can't get button reponses as fast as my opponent. So fast accurate passing and occasional tika taka combinations are my style. A combination of normal and through passes to bamboozle your opponent is what its all about. Sometimes I will switch play to the other side of the field. Most of these opponents play the centre of the field only and it gives you a lot of space on the outsides.

It takes years of practice to perfect. You will not see other players play like this because they prefer playing like the mindless clones as long as they win their champions and rivals games. When I plot a path to score a goal I have tons of different variations whereas you will always see the same exact boring pattern in your opponents' goals it just that at three times your game speed you only have to lose the ball for them to score off that same boring diagonal shot.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, all they need to do is take away bull timed finishing OP playstyles and fix goalkeepers to balance the game. You shouldn't be able to score a springting 25-30 yard trivela on a whim, it's not even close to the realms of arcade gameplay let alone realism. Bull mechanics like speed boosts and unrealistic shooting are the main thing that make this game unbearable.

Yep, for the past few months I’ve had to drop any players with high dribbling, I’ve just had to go for some pace and shooting. Rinse and repeat same attempts to get a centre forward free to score. No crossing, no dribbling, just looking for that 1 in 10 chance that my forward can actually get free and not get a lat ditch tackle or save against. 

High dribbling stats kill my players - they can’t turn, they just get stuck and they play the ball straight into defenders. 

The animations slow everything down - for my players. The opposition can do what they like. 

The gameplay just sucks. Everything about this game even simple mechanics sucks. The gameplay was so much more smoother three months ago than it is now. Animations can’t even be done correctly. Simple passes can’t even be made to the intended receivers button inputs are beyond delayed to the point where you can’t do anything about it anymore. 

Cupidonel​ I agree with every word. I'm a loyal fan of the series myself, buying every edition since '98. The last few years the level dropped, but what they did this year is just beyond words. 

The complete lack of defense is what bothers me the most too. Defenders that only need to move a toe to intercept a ball but don't, who are waaay too far from attackers or on the wrong side, who react a lot slower than the attackers, constant situations where you're facing 3 attackers against only one defender although you're playing in a formation with 5 defenders with everything pulled back, and there's absolutely no setting anymore in the entire formation menu to do anything about it.

And then there are the numereous balls that bounce away from your foot, countless offsides per game, ridiculous goals from 30-40meters or impossible angles, balls that ricochet off the goal keeper in goal, passes and shots that end up in a totally different direction, or with a player you're not even aiming at, ... 

I'm bailing out of practically every game out of frustration from the lack of even the slightest amount of football intelligence in this game. It's just shocking how far this game stands from modern football. It's good old 1930's kick and rush. No skills or vision required. Every noob can win, just pick a team with fast players

I wouldn’t say the worst game. When it was released it was balanced. Now ea has listened to the majority with the refresh they continue to buff offense and nerf defense. 

I know people prefer it like that but passing is to easy and pace is to important. Now everyone is forced to use 4213 and 99 pace players. 

The biggest improvement would be making offense manual.  Then again this would add to the skill gap and it wouldn’t be so high scoring. 

Agree. I don’t mind being rubbish at the game. I do mind being unable to utilise the players I’ve paid for and earned properly due to the gameplay and servers. I mean, squad battles is now one of the most toxic playing environments which is just bizarre. Being trolled in a pretty much offline mode by the game itself.   

they should thing twice before release a terrible game like this.

lot of ppl work hard to earn money and they charge 100 bucks for it
