You measuring stick are Pro's who are like 0.001% of the overall community.
They just don't matter that much.
But if pros can’t keep games at 0-0 being the best defenders then us casual players have no chance.
Know that almost nobody could keep realistic scores why buff the already overpowered offense?
Like the other guy said if you want realism you have to play real soccer this game isn’t it especially now. It’s just disappointing ea would go that route.
- Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran@RadioShaqs But you seem to be putting that down to some pacey goal being scored..
It wasn't though. The top 3 goals in this game were:
1. Scuffy high pressure goals on the centre backs with weird nonsensical glitchy animations (why would you want this to remain in the game)
2. Finesse Shot+ (one of the cheapest easiest goals in the game)
3. Near post goals. Gk moves into position to save shot, ball still flies at arms length past him.
I can at least appreciate someone who scores from some cool pass moves but seeing these goals over and over, it's like nah, no thanks. - Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran
I can't believe I forget the old drop back in the box, get a magnetic rebound and hit a 40 yard low driven pass with a CB who has like 30 passing to a Forward.
- drawxdraw234 months agoRising Scout
which cb has 30 passing?

- Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran@drawxdraw23 Again. No. What junk are talking about? Be specific if your capable of that.
- drawxdraw234 months agoRising Scout
again stop talk, dont pretend to be smart, your comment make offense on fc25 worse than now
- Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran@drawxdraw23 Go on. Tell me what I'm wrong about. Take your time.

ok thanks for your humbleness on this thread, and first sorry for every bad talk that i said to u, now fc 25 already banned double shoot tap button, and i a little bit mad about that, and i think offense on fc 25 is good now, based on experience i play soccer for 11 years, when you go on goal keeper u cant really keep the near post shoot, caused by u need to keep the far post too, so it is normal if someone who can shoot from tight angle, and pacey player is really a threat on soccer too , so it is normal to see pacey player got goal

I thought the gameplay on the New-Gen version would change a lot after the update and become smoother, but honestly, the game is still boring. I think it’s all because of the HyperMotion and FC IQ technologies—they’re so annoying and ruining the game.
On the other hand, when I play the Old-Gen version, which doesn’t have these technologies, the game feels almost perfect and really fun. It just has a small issue with the defense that needs some improvement, but everything else is great.
Now it feels like playing the New-Gen version is like choosing the quality and graphics mode, while playing the Old-Gen version is like choosing the performance mode—it really makes a difference.

@Manso0rr nope really good game, the best version of fc 25
- Manso0rr4 months agoRising Veteran
@drawxdraw23No, it’s not. The passing is still really bad and needs a lot of improvement.
I play in clubs mode and use the PlayStyle+ for long passes, but what’s the point if the passing is this bad?

It’s not just the long passes, even the ground passes are bad.

After playing Champs I think this patch has moved the game in the right direction however it needs tweaks. I only had 3 games that had ridiculous scorelines. For the most part I was able to defend against the attacking plays.
Kick off goals are more potent now. Nearly every game it was me or my opponent scoring in the first minute of the game.
You now have to take the initiative and defend yourself + position yourself properly or you'll get burnt.
Rebounds haven't really changed.
Long driven through balls from the box can still split your defense in half.
Player switching still is completely bizarre, at times non-sensical.
Short passing is much better without the crazy A.I. defending.
Attacking avenues have now opened up so you can think about you're going to attack rather than just spam quick passes because of torpedoing defenders.
A good timed tackle will actually win you the ball rather than cause a regain for the attacking player.
Offsides aren't as ridiculous as pre-patch. It was at the point where the attacking A.I. was so dumb they would sabotage simple opportunities.
In my opinion the game should've been released like this in September & slowly fine tuned to find the right balance. There are people who are going to absolutely hate this patch because they became accustomed to A.I. defending & spamming crazy amounts of tackles for 90 minutes. They've been rug pulled completely.

The update is definitely a step in the right direction, I agree—it improved some parts of the game. But has the game become good? No.
What’s missing? A lot. Passing isn’t good enough and needs major improvements. The overall pace of the game needs to be a bit faster. Dribbling is still bad—we need full, smooth control of the player.
When you lose the ball during an attack, your defensive transition is too slow. You can’t recover quickly to try and win the ball back because the defensive transition is sluggish. We need this kind of competitiveness in the game—it’s what makes it fun. When you lose the ball, you should still have a chance to pressure your opponent and try to win it back quickly, not feel like the ball is out of reach and there’s no opportunity to react.
Also, controlling the ball feels disconnected from the player. It’s like the player and the ball are separate. You don’t feel in full control, and it’s hard to dribble past more than one defender or try to break through.
These things need improvement in my opinion. I don’t know what you guys think, but I’ve been playing the game for years. What’s crazy is that these issues don’t exist in the Old-Gen version—everything is nearly perfect there. But on the New-Gen version, there’s still so much missing. That’s my opinion in short.
- RadioShaqs4 months agoHero@Manso0rr I would watch Tom leese last stream. Passing is so easy it almost looks fake. He ping ponged the ball between 3-4 players inside the box and the defense couldn’t even move in time to stop it.
He also had salah and would do the sprint speed boost past all the defenders. He was playing people on 10-0 and up on his way to 15-0. Nobody could do anything on defense.
We need ea to roll back the patch it’s so bad right now. I honestly have no idea how they could make passing any easier. - Manso0rr4 months agoRising Veteran@RadioShaqs I don’t agree, passing is still bad.
I only care about what I see, not what I hear. If you’re saying passing is good, show me a video and prove it—show me how it’s good.
I’m talking about all passes, both long and short.
And don’t bring up a specific player as an example and say he has Salah, so of course it’s good. Obviously, if someone is using players with a 96 rating or higher, what do you expect when they’re playing against lower-rated players? That doesn’t reflect the real state of the game. We all know, especially in Ultimate Team, that the higher-rated players make the game easier—even if you’re not at your best, the game helps you a lot. Reaction time feels faster, and so on. - Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran@Manso0rr I agree with you. After playing some more today, the scorelines started to get really insane, to the point where nearly every attack was a goal.
The keepers are pitiful, shots at the body whizz past.
I couldn't switch players on time or to the right person without getting a delay. This is a massive problem with the game being this fast. You need the switching to be on point.
I agree with Radioshaq to a point, they went from extreme to another. All I'm hoping is they are able to find middle ground between good, rewarding defense & fun attacking play. - Tauntmatt4 months agoRising Veteran@RadioShaqs I played loan Salah a few times today..he's nightmare fuel.
It's long through balls that are the main problem & have been the main problem for years, I was pinging long through balls off balance all day today with practically any player regardless of passing stats. The defense just can't keep up with them. - Manso0rr4 months agoRising Veteran@Tauntmatt Balance is key in the game. The attack improved, but the ball and player control still feels off, like UFL. Defense is more manual now, which is good, but there are issues like slow player reactions after intercepting the ball, causing goals.
Also, with high through balls, when the ball is close to the defender, they should catch up. If it’s farther, you can see the speed difference between the players, which is fine. but when it's close and they can't catch up, it’s unrealistic.
