EAFC25 National Teams

Hi there EA Community,

i‘m here to talk about the bad thing with the national teams. I remember the good old days in past fifa games, when we could play World Cup qualification all over the world in career mode. Now I must read, that Belgium is removed for FC25 for a reason we don’t know because EA didn’t say anything! And that’s the point, they didn’t say anything about the whole way they want to go with licenses of national teams. Why we gamer don’t get a statement? There are only 29 national teams left and that’s too less teams. In career mode you can’t play a international competition because of that. This leads me to another question: why they don’t add generic national teams? That must be possible like including AC or inter without a license. Give us generic Trikots in correct colors und the Flagg as emblem so that we have the chance to take them in career mode. I don’t need every national team fully licensed, I only want to have the chance to play with them!!! What are your opinions about that?

My guess is that FIFA has something to do with this since EA is no longer with them.

  • I cannot agree more! This is my true career mode wish for over a decade now. There never has been truly a good international mode tbf, we always lacked big time in the represented Asian, African and North/Middle American countries. But since the last 5 years is has been totally trash and I really feel sad about it. This would really elevate career mode big time in my opinion.

But I really wonder, how can we ever reach EA with our wishes? I feel like it is so hard to reach EA for this kind of suggestions...

One imagines that EA sets up these forums.  But perhaps they don't monitor them or really care that much for user feedback.

"Let's set up a forum where the malcontents can post all their grumbles and feel like they've unloaded...  But we don't feel any need to do anything about it.  They are our captive audience.  So we can lose more and more teams and stadiums and they'll stick with us anyway.  We have a cash cow which we'll just keep milking because we're untouchable and don't really need to address user expectations."

Such thinking worked out really well for Nokia, Blockbuster, Kodak, taxis, the music industry.......

As long as they don't believe that there's a viable substitute and that people will still be willing to pay, why should they invest further money in optimising the experience?

"We'll just update the teams to recognise transfers in the prior transfer window and update some game playing features in line with technological advances and reissue more or less the same (or a slightly declining product each year) and our docile customers will keep paying anyway.  Money for jam."

I really get this feeling too. They would develop the game so much better if there was actual competition with other developers. The only solution is to make licensing available for all game developers, then it will bring out the best of each developer and the best game will win. But this will never happen I fear, business truly kills passion
