Fc25: PS4, Ps5, Xbox and PC Cross-play

What is the reasoning with not all platform’s being able to play together? I do not understand why PC wouldn’t be able to play with PS4 players and PS5 players not being able to play with PS4 players. 

I mean if Call of Duty is able to cross-play like this why wouldn’t FC 25 be able to?

(For future. Please if you update PC version, please update the rest of the platform versions aswell, not being in the same version of the game makes it so that you cannot cross-play)

    Thank you for your feedback. The differences between the Gen 5 and Gen 4 versions of the game are quite significant. This is likely one of the main reasons the game team chose to maintain this distinction, as it ensures fairness for all players.

    Isnt the only difference with gen 4 and gen 5 picture quality? Same as if I would lower my graphic settings on PC to lower and higher?
