FC25 ultimate team - bronze unlockable won’t redeem

Good evening

On Ultimate team I have a bronze item which I can’t seem to redeem, every time I click onto store I get the “hmm. It seems you have items to manager before you can move forward” then a blank bronze card appears which just simply says “unlock” I cannot move the item to discard or transfer list, only option is to redeem. Then every time I click redeem another messages appears saying, “there was a problem connecting to the football ultimate team servers. Please try again later.” I’ve had this for 2 days now. Any ideas how to fix??
