@mcballsslayer The ones who don’t like this update are the people who rely on the game to defend for them. After the update, defense became almost manual, and the AI doesn’t defend for them anymore. Plus, slow defenders now struggle to keep up with attackers who are way faster than them.
That’s why they don’t like it, but for me, I think it’s great and a step in the right direction. However, the game still needs full control over the players, faster dribbling, and less delay in skill moves. Passing also needs improvement. If they fix these things, the game would be amazing.

@Manso0rrYou can’t control ever defender. It’s not about not defending it’s about offense taking no skill now.
What I don’t understand is one of the worst fifas was just like this and everyone complained enough ea changes it.
It was the year when all everyone did was twirl with attackers and ping pong passed. The only way to defend was put attackers or fullbacks into cb roles. Sound familiar to this year?
That’s when ea made pace less important and did accelerate body types. You can’t have defenders be useless like they are now.
After the last Patch the defending is soo hard because my players they just standing around an watching the opponent run bye.
Before the last Patch I had lots of clean sheets but now it is almost impossible to get one out of 10 Games.
My defenders they don't play with any logic they just stand around...
Don't cry about defensive speed. At the start of this version of the game, offensive players could do speed boosts and run fast. So what did EA do? They nerfed the speed in a way that completely messed up the game and player movement. Players started getting super slow animations because EA took that speed away entirely from attacking players.
Meanwhile, EA gave defensive players the ability to catch up with the fastest attackers, even if they were super slow, along with aggressive tackles, pressing, and everything else being overly shifted in favor of defense. Of course, you were happy and thought the game was amazing like that.
But now, EA has taken the speed away from defenders completely, just like they did with attackers at the start of the game. So, stop crying about it.
And for your information, defense is still strong, and offense is still bad. It needs a lot of improvements in passing, dribbling, player movement, and button responsiveness when performing skill moves.

It makes sense defenders can catch up a player with the ball is slower. You could do knock ons and stuff to get away before. Now you don’t need anything. It’s just to much.
It’s not realistic to have 4213 everyone on defense and 4 on the counter. You don’t see 40 through balls and 1 on 1 twirling in real life. You actually have to break down the defense.
Offense still needs help has to be a joke. How could it be any easier maybe make the gk able to lazer pass to the striker. I dunno why have a striker just have gk shoot from their box lol.Radio, U r objectively WRONG when u say bad defending AI makes skill gap smaller.
The more goals u have, the less impact RNG-goals have (vvd corners, trivelas, bounce back….etc).
An open game where attackers have the edge makes for a bigger skill gap! This is just a fact.
If u watched the fc pro stream from yesterday, they asked pro players what they thought about the new update: EVERYONE liked it. Why? Because skill gap is bigger after patch.
I've had to do that, but it doesn't work. They act dumb because it messes up the chemistry.
