Maybe I am confused is the op not talking about gameplay and patches?
If he or you are having connection issues try that thread I linked. So far everyone is showing it’s their connection not ea. If you are not maybe ea will look into it.
Also I said non manual offense not defense. People manually defend. Nobody uses manual offense after the patch. Well the pros do to a point as ea forces it but not all the settings. Most don’t even know how to turn on manual offense.
I do not have connection issues on my end. I have good connection, notably in that thread the EA respondent brings up packet loss. I have 0% packet loss. My gameplay is poor despite the good connection.
My apologies about the manual offense/defense, that was my misreading error. Then to answer your question yes, I use both manual offense and manual defense.
I use targeted and aimed runs, give and go runs, the bumpers to pull players close and send them on runs, and use player locks.
I have to do all of this because my AI rarely makes attacking runs and, on the occasions it does, tends to get caught on the opposition defenders and then get stuck and fall over. If I use directed runs and player lock, I can get around some of that problem.
