Opponent quitting at a draw should result in a win

Countless of times my opponents quit while it's a draw.

Most common scenarios are:

  • My opponent gains the lead in the beginning of the match. I start to dominate and score an equaliser. Afterwards my opponent can see where it's headed and quits at a draw so I don't ultimately get the win.
  • I'm ahead and I'm somewhat controlling the game. My opponent gets a lucky equaliser and quits right away because he knows it was a one off. He knows I will most likely win in the end.
  • It's 0-0 and I've been dominating the game but missed my changes. Opponent quits because it's a matter of time before I convert one of the chances.
  • I get a penalty at the end of the game and my opponent quits before I can take it. I have had multiple people basically shut off their entire game in order for me not to get the win.

Why shouldn't these scenarios result in a win for me? Toxic behaviour is awarded and it really damages the whole gaming experience of FC. Please change this!

  • @Niller1995 You are not winning. What they have done should help quitting though. Form no longer drops from quits. Rivals and friendlies is no longer tied to matchmaking. Draws give you points now too.
  • I think you underestimate how petty people are. They don't care about finishing friendly games to get easier opponents...

While I recognize that I'm not in the lead when they quit, I think you have to think about why they would quit at a draw. They only do it because they're outplayed and they know their opponents won't be awarded the win. None of them would quit at draws if their opponents were awarded wins.

The incentive to not quit by giving people who do, a loss, has proven to not be enough. I mean, applying your logic, you could argue that they shouldn't be awarded losses since they weren't technically losing. Imo it's about incentive. Awarding wins to opponents of people who quit at draws will really help on the overall toxicity of the player base. And imo it's the most fair outcome of the games if someone feels it necessary to quit at a draw...

@Niller1995 You get to replay it not get the loss. You also have to figure you could be bumping someone out of a spot for pro tournaments or top 200. There is no way to tell why someone quit. They could have dced or something not ever quit is to punish you. That’s not to say people don’t do it but in the end you wasn’t winning.

@RadioShaqs this whole form no longer drops from quits system isn't working.

I can get spanked 5-0 for 3 games in a row and yes the whole form thing won't change

@tjmartin-92 I don’t think it’s that widely known yet. Once a youtuber covers it you will see people not quitting. I haven’t seen one thread yet of someone complaining they can’t quit. I just know someone will be upset they can’t quit to get easier opponents and there will be a huge thread about how unfair ea is sooner or later. That’s when you know it’s become well known.
