Passing??

Can someone please tell me how I can get my players to actually pass the ball as soon as I press A (pass button)?

Every time I press pass or lob or through ball etc. my player does a time wasting animation and it takes longer to get rid of the ball. This happens when standing still, while slow and fast dribbling, every time I try to get rid of the ball?

I've seen the pro's passing without the player rolling the ball forward before passing so how can it be done?
