Please copy and send this to your gouverments. Because this have to stop!

Hi!

I just want to make you aware of a gaming development that is quite frightening when it comes to some online games.

Several game developers are exploiting children and young people to earn a lot of money on so-called "micro transactions". This means that players can buy hidden "packages" to improve their game. This is a kind of a "surprise package" and they do not know what they are spending a lot of money on.

Electronic Arts is one of the worst in this matter. Their games (EA fifa, now EA fc .., and more) have an age limit of 3+ years, and they offer this "service" to underage childrens.

Belgium has banned this activity as they rightly consider it an invitation to gambling aimed at children. Shouldn't Norway and EU, with its restrictive gambling policy, follow Belgium on this?

Especially when this business strategy is aimed at children and young people under 18 years of age.. Many parents are very distressed about this, as they have experienced children stealing their credit cards to buy these "packages"

Best regards

And another thing.. for those of us who are old enough to gamble..- How beautiful wouldn't this game be without these lootboxes? Everyone starts from scratch and builds their team based solely on individual skills.. No "pay to win".

It would have been a truly fair and good game, where everyone would have been on an equal footing, regardless of how "well-off " you are.

     Just a thought..

EA probably hates this idea, as it would take away a lot of revenue from them😅 But as I look at it - You have allready payed for the game, and to me it seems very unfair that you have to pay a lot more to compite.

But I guess this is just because of the money hunger from EA, to trick more money from their customers 😐

I've actually got no problem with EA micro transactions as long as they spend money making the game better with new technologies and gameplay but that's not what they've done they've just copied and pasted the same game for years now and kept the profits. Shameless.

Jayi1503  You are probably manage well and have control over your spending on packs.

The problem is that buying packs is addictive for many people. Gambling addict is actually a disease that EA exploits to the fullest.

Several people are financially disabled due to gambling addiction. Buying loot boxes is undoubtedly a clever way to camouflage gambling.

I criticize this activity primarily because the company is targeting young people who have no idea how much money they are spending on this ruthless company (the game has an age limit of 3+).

It is this immorality that I want to highlight. Young people who gamble for thousands of pounds without getting anything back!

To be honest it's no different to when I was a kid buying stickers for my collection, kids have been subject to greedy corporation's for decades it's nothing new. It's the greed of the developers (mainly the money men) that nothing is paid forward that's what bothers me.
