Please explain

Please explain to me in a squad battles match in UT how my 84 rated GK failed to block 3 of 3 easy shots against a 63 rated team on Workd Class difficulty... while at the same time the 70 rated keeper I was playing against blocked 6 of 8.. Also explain how the 62 rated CB with 53 pace can run down my 85 rated striker with 90 pace and Hawk... Also explain how when I go to pass to the open player that is to the right in front of me, it passes to the low right into the feet of a defender...mind you, I had movement indication on so I know what way I way pointing.. and my ground passing is on semi... also explain how every single one of my players in that match was extremely sluggish and couldn't pass, dribble or turn... I would constantly play the prior iterations on World Class against the CPU in SB's and never lost.. this was literally the first time.. and these are the things that happened.. all of the CPU attacking happened in the second half BTW.. which I have been noticing this happening a lot, where the AI seems to shift in the second half..
