I have the exact same situation.

Pre ordered FC25 ultimate edition via the loyalty link that popped up in my FC24. Both my steam and EA libraries show the standard edition.

However, when I get into the details of my purchase on steam it shows that I bought Ultimate. Also the EA app shows that the game will be playable from 20th Sept. which is the go live date for Ultimate.

see my conversation with Steam support. They claim it’s normal.
