This franchise has become a bargain-bin game

I only played Seasons mode for years and got sucked into UT with FIFA 22 as my friends all played that mode. I completely regret ever getting into UT. It started off fun in FIFA 22. But it has gotten worse and worse each year.

Each year, EA tries to fix one thing and creates more broken mechanics in the process. In FIFA 22, corners were broken, and now they're not as broken. Instead, we have running up the wing for the cutback pass as just one example. Or the flick up into the jumping side volley traded in for spam tackling. Defenders recover from mistimed tackles and move into position instantly. I can go on and on. 

But, ultimately, I can't blame the company. They're able to feed off of gambling addiction through store packs. I'm not one of them, but they're clearly a lot of people the company takes advantage of for profit. The thing is, I don't even lose that much compared to most. I'm in division 2 in Rivals, and more times than not I finish Champs either 9-6 or 10-5. 

But what's truly sad is that despite the fact that I typically win a decent amount, I hate playing the game. It's not enjoyable; it's not fun, it's a painful process because the gameplay is trash, and on top of that, you aren't even well rewarded for giving your most precious gift to this company: your time. All this to say, this is my last time playing UT. I've only really played it for 3 years and won't miss it. The only reason I would even bother buying any edition of this game onward is because I play Clubs mode with my friends, and that is fun. But that isn't worth the full price.
