Timed finish bar disappear after fake shot. Bug or mechanism?

I turned on the timed finishing color bar in Visuals. However, I noticed that if I do a fake shot first and then do the real shot, the bar only shows for the first fake shot but disappear for the second real shot. Could this be a bug or just some intentional mechanism?
