What We Actually Want From A Football Game
Here is some quick fire suggestions which should be easy to implement, cheap, and create a gamechanging experience for the fans who have spend thousands each over the years.
Experience:
Pre game, 30 second mini game. You chose a player E.G Bruno Fernandes and whilst the game loads, I can chose "set peice, or free train" if free train, I can dribble with the ball anywhere in one half of old trafford and take shots at the second goal to warm the goal keeper up whislt the stadium is filling. Or I can chose "Martinez" and balls come in the box as I head them away. The stadium in the back ground is filling, there are balls coming across the pitch, the stadium announcer is wishing happy birthday to those in attendance and you can hear muffles of shouting, whisles and drills whilst navigating round piles of water bottles, bibs and cones. Get us on that pitch and feel the match day experience build. It's a more detailed and relevant way of doing "ARENA".
Customize:
White mini socks/Gripper socks
Long sleeve shirt pulled up to 3/4 like Mpabbe, Rashford and ronaldo.
Shorts length long, medium and short.
Alternative kit - Alternate between shorts and socks aka Man Utd red top, white shorts and socks, black shorts and socks.
Game play:
Have 10 more passing techniques across Midfield, defenders and attackers. Harry Maguire does not have the same passing technique and shooting technique as Leroy Sane.
David Beckhams arm swung as he lent back, Rashford folds forward as he strikes through it, Rooney leant over to the side as his knee crossed over his body like Neymar, Scholes had no back lift and would often come off the floor when striking it. We need variety to corner kick, in play passing and shooting techniques.
The posts need to be plastic sounding not metal
The crowd should boo and go up in volume if an opposition recently left the club he's playing against each time he touches the ball.
The away ground get noticeably louder if they take the lead, especially if an under dog in a bigger stadium that goes very quiet and anxious
If you were 3-0 up and there is less than 5 mins to go and the opposition has pulled it back to 3-2 there aggression should increase and your touch should get harder, making it harder to play out as momentum clearly changes.
The sounds of seats clattering when going through one on one as the crowd rise off their seats waiting to explode
An increase in security is scene in the last 5 mins of derby games around the away end as they look to separate the atmosphere
Police horses outside the stadiums before big games
I could go on. But this is so simple in my opinion. It's missing authentic detail.
