Why is the game so terrible?

There is a playable game in there somewhere. Now and again when the servers and game itself allows I can see how it is supposed to play. 

They don’t know or care enough to ensure everyone has that consistent experience though. You just have to look on here at how customers are told that the issues aren’t in EAs control. 

I also think the content is boring and repetitive this year, especially if you don’t really like online play. 

Because it'll progressively get worse every year , they rush it out just to satisfy shareholders with little to no pride in there work and just slap more and more code on top of broken code year after year, it needs scrapping and starting again from scratch but it unfortunately will never happen because they need the cash cow hoovering up the kiddies cash year in year out, there's no innovation, theres no variety , there's seemingly nobody whos ever accountable for even the simplest of errors and there's no competition so they just don't care
