Can’t Access Rivals in EA FC 25 – Game Pass Ultimate Active, But Still Locked
Hi,
I’ve been playing EA SPORTS FC 25 on my Xbox Series S using my own account. My console is set as the home Xbox for a friend’s account that has Game Pass Ultimate active. All Game Pass games (including EA Play titles) are working fine, and I can play Volta, Rush, and even other online features.
However, the Rivals mode is locked, and I get a message saying I need to subscribe to Game Pass, even though it’s already active and working.
Things I’ve already tried:
- Console restart
- Clearing local saved data
- Logging in both accounts (mine and the Game Pass owner’s)
- Full game reinstall
- Setting my console as the home Xbox for the account that owns Game Pass
- Reauthenticating with EA account
Still, Rivals does not work. This issue just started randomly today — it was working fine yesterday with the same setup.
Please help fix this, or let me know if the account verification has been corrupted somehow.
I was able to solve the issue by contacting Microsoft Support via live chat.
They required access to both accounts’ emails and performed a quick verification process. After that, they asked me to remove the account that i was playing (without the gamepass) from my Xbox (I also restarted the console, even though it wasn’t required), and it worked for me.
