Cannot connect to ea servers

I want to connect to the servers but it keeps on telling me that they are not running. I went to check if the servers were actually down but it says they are online. And all my friends are playing the game. I tried other games and they were working just fine. I tried to restart the game, uninstall the game, check for updates, but nothing works. Does anyone know how to fix this???
