Cannot make substitutions in game play on XBox 1 EAFC25

I cannot make substitutions during a match in Career Mode on the XBox One. Furthermore, when this occurs I can't even revert back to the game and resume playing without making subs. I am just stuck i...

I am realising that the last 2 comments above had the same challenge I am going through and that was 8 and 4 months ago, yet nothing has changed to date. I am not getting the 26 version of this hassle!
